Montrece L. Smith of Paducah formerly of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. At the time of her demise, she was 50 years, 1 month and 16 days.  She was born the lovely daughter to Ralph T. Johnson Sr. and Alma Smith on March 10, 1974 in Paducah, KY.

Monnie as she was affectionately called, was a Paducah Tilghman High School graduate and was baptized by Reverend Wardelle G. Harvey Sr., at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Monnie being a quiet person and often staying to herself, enjoyed going bowling with her friends, going out to eat at different restaurants and cooking.  She would always enjoy attending the Kentucky Derby.  She loved her family dearly and was quite fond of her grandmother in heaven Betty Smith.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bennie and Betty Smith, her paternal grandparents, Theoeore Johnson and Anna Banks.

Monnie leaves to cherish her memory: Three Sons, Shane Smith of Lexington, KY, Wanye' Smith of Louisville, KY and Tre' Smith of Paducah; Grandchildren, Ja'Myiah Smith, Jamarion Smith, Justice Smith, Sariyah Smith, Tre 'Smith Jr., Vanity Smith and Ace Smith; Her Parents, One Brother, Ralph Thomas Johnson II and One Sister, Sarah S. Johnson both of Versailles, KY;  Six Aunts, Debra Smith, Patricia Smith, Sherry Smith and Rhonda (Herman) Smith; Five Uncles, Ricky Smith, Gregory "Bubba" Smith and Guy (Melony) Smith all of Paducah, KY, Billy (Lillie) Banks of St. Petersburg, FL and Theo Johnson of Clearwater, FL; Terry Bell Banks of Midway, KY and Gail Lewis of Georgetown, KY; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Ralph Johnson Sr. officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
