Obituary
Mildred Eva Hicks, 87, of Paducah, KY died Sunday, 6:10 a.m. January 18, 2009 at Lourdes Hospital.
Ms. Hicks was a Homemaker. She was a member of St. John A. M. E. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Giles LaVoid Hicks, her parents, Jake and Tennie Rodgers Moore, two sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by three daughters, Jean Robinson, Diane Brown, and Brenda J. Hicks, all of Paducah, KY; one son, Tildon LaVoid Hicks, of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Georgia R. Drain of Paducah, KY and Myrtle Depree of Lawrenceburg, KY. Five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009 at St, John A. M. E. Church, 1300 Atkins Avenue, Paducah, KY, Reverend Barry Frazier will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Paducah, KY
The family will receive visitors Saturday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
