Obituary

Mildred "Skippy" Broady, age 83, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, 4:10 p.m., at the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a life-long member of Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church where she had served as Pastor Steward, and was a member of the church choir, culinary committee and the Addie Lucas Missionary Society. She retired as a teacher's aide for the Paducah Public School System.

She is survived by one son , Charles E. Broady, Jr. of Paducah; two daughters , Charlotte Broady Bradshaw of Paducah and Alison M. Broady of Clarksville, TN; five grand-children ; ten great-grandchildren ; two great great-grandchildren ; two brothers , Reverend James Herbert Vinson of Paducah, Jesse "Smitty" Vinson of Midlothian, VA; three sisters , Georgia M. Moss and Helen T. Vinson, both of Paducah and Carol V. Lea of Fairfield, CA; one aunt ; one uncle ; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. "Fat" Broady, Sr., parents Lottie Glenn Vinson, step-father, Jesse George Vinson, Percy Tilghman and Georgia B. Glenn Tilghman.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2019, 12:00 Noon, at Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with Reverend Benessa Sweat and Reverend James H. Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friend may also call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
