Michelle Johnson Coleman, 53, of Paducah died at 12:20 a.m. Sept. 1 at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Coleman was a member of Washington Street Baptist Church and a 1976 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. She also attended Paducah Community College and Murray State University and was a former employee of the Paducah City School System, where she served as a family advocate for the Paducah Head Start. She was also active in the 4-H program.
She is survived by two daughters, Candice Chanee Coleman and Courtney Amber Coleman, both of Paducah; one granddaughter; three brothers, Dwight Johnson and John Johnson, both of Houston, and Sonny Johnson of Detroit; two sisters, Ella Pearl Johnson of Paducah and Mildred Johnson of South Carolina; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Louis Coleman; one brother and two sisters. Her parents were Pearl Clarence Johnson and Johnella Douglas Johnson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Washington Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Raynarldo Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
