Michael Eugene Elliott entered eternal rest at the Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky, at 11:05 a.m., on Monday, March 22, 2021.  He was at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 6 days.  Michael was born to the late Willard Elliott and Henrietta Bolen Elliott on September 16, 1949, in Paducah, Kentucky.

Michael served as a chef in various restaurants in Houston, Texas and loyally served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War Era.

Michael leaves his family and friends to honor his life on earth:  Two Sisters, Renee Jackson and his baby sister, Cheryl Matchem, both of Paducah, KY; Three Nieces, Dorchell Jackson, Tammy Haliburton and Shantia Matchem; Three Nephews, Brandon Matchem, Quanterrance Matchem and Richod Matchem; Blesse abundantly with Great Nieces and Nephews; His Extended Family, Brenda Davenport, Brenshae Davenport and Skylar Moss; Blessed abundantly with great nieces, great nephews and Friends.

Those who preceded him in death were his parents, Willard Elliott and Henrietta Bolen Elliott and his brother, Robert Earl Bolen.

Michael will be truly missed by his loved ones and all others who knew him as well.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 10, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Dunbar officiating.

Burial will follow on Monday, April 12, 2021, 11:00 a.m., in the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, IL.

Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

Due to state mandated Covid-19 Restrictions, all attendees are asked to wear a mask and maintain a social distance of six feet at all times.
