IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Melinda Louise
Allen Mckenzie
May 12, 1968 – March 21, 2022
Melinda Louise Allen McKenzie was at the magnificent age of 53 years, 10 months and 9 days when she transitioned to her Heavenly Home. On Monday, March 21, 2022, at 4:36 a.m., at Mercy Health Lourdes, she gently closed her eyes for eternal rest. She was born on May 12, 1968, in Paducah, Kentucky where she since had made her home.
Melinda grew into a lovely lady and wed in Holy Matrimony the handsome Darrel McKenzie. She was employed as a caregiver at Community Living Support and worshipped her Lord and Savior at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Melinda was a happy and kind-hearted person who was full of laughter. She loved and cared for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a big giver of both her love and support, not to her family, but also to whoever she could. Melinda was also the person who would frequent yard sales whenever time allowed her to get away. Melinda was a dancer to her favorite R&B tunes and would have fun as she would really belt out many of her favorite tunes during karaoke time. Last, but not least, Melinda would please her palate with her many most favored soul food dishes.
She was preceded in death by her mother Edna Marie Tyler Allen, grandparents Robert Tyler, Jr. and Katie Tyler Ragsdale, five uncles, Robert Tyler, Jr., John Henry Tyler, James Arthur Tyler, Leroy Tyler and Richard Cleo Ragsdale and two aunts, Bettye Jean Tyler and Mamie Tyler Caldwell Stewart
