Obituary
Mattie Jones Harris, 92 of South Fulton, TN formerly of Martin, TN passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 7:00 a.m. at Union City Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Union City, TN.
She retired from Tennessee Environmental Services Department at the University Of Tennessee at Martin.
She is survived by one daughter; Juanita Jones, Pearland, TX; one son; George Harris Jr., South Fulton, TN: two Grandchildren; four Great Grandchildren; four Great-Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Harris Sr., her parents Rass Jones and Gabriella Byars Jones.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Fulton, TN with Reverend Cecil Maddox Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the church from 1:00 p.m. to the funeral hour.
