Mary Kate Jasper Thompson, 64, of Paducah, died July 12, 2009, 8:35 A. M. at her residence in Paducah, KY

Mary was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Eddyville, KY, where she was a member of the choir. She graduated from Lincoln Ridge High School and Paducah Community College. She formerly worked at KIC of Paducah and retired from the State of Kentucky as a Registered Nurse. She was a Board member of Upper Town Heritage Foundation, and a member Queen of Nelson OES #87P.H.A. in Bardstown, KY.

Mary is preceded in death by her father John McHenry, step father Moses Landers, Jr. and one daughter, Cheryl Lee Gray.

She is survived by one son, James Albert Miller, Eddyville, KY, one daughter, Thelma "Sissy" Graham, Bloomfield, KY, her mother, Willie Lee Matchen Landers; one sister, Betty Dobson, Paducah, KY; 4 granddaughters, 3 great grandchildren, 3 aunts, one uncle, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 400 Fairview Avenue, Eddyville, KY with Reverend Perry Boyd and Reverend T. E. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Eddyville Cemetery in Eddyville, KY.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 17, 2009 at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, 1229 Madison Street, Paducah, KY. 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour, Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Fairview Avenue, Eddyville, KY.
