Mary Helen McCauley, 93, of Hickman, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, 3:14 pm, at her daughter's residence in Paducah.

She was a member of Lake Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hickman where she served as church clerk, treasurer, usher, and on the Mother's Board. She was a retiree of the Fulton County School System where she worked in the cafeteria.

She is survived by three daughters, Lucy M. Roberson of Paducah, Shirley Rufus of Fort Pierce, FL and Lucille Murray of Old Hickory, TN; two sons, Arthur McCauley of Detroit, MI and Brooks McCauley of Belleville, MI; one sister, Trulla Atkins of South Fulton, TN and one brother, Jimmy Atkins of Albuquerque, NM; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 15 great great-grandchildren and 1 great great great-granddaughter; one sister-in-law, Alberta Atkins of South Fulton, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Tommy McCauley; parents, Alphonso Lovejoy Atkins and Ludella Robinson Smith; stepfather, Arthur Smith; three grandchildren and four brothers.

Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, July 23, 2016, 12:00 Noon at Lake Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hickman with Reverend Herman Emery and Reverend James Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.

Friends may also call on the family Saturday at the church from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
