Mary Lynn Martin Faint, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, left this earthly life for eternal rest from the ICF Nursing Facility in Clinton, KY, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 6:02 a.m. Mary Lynn was blessed to have inhabit her earthly home for approximately 89 years, 10 months, and 6 days. Her life began on January 21, 1935, as the beautiful baby girl of her parents, the late J.D. Martin and Virginia Loving Martin on January 21, 1935, in Bardwell, KY.
Mary Lynn was one who kept her home immaculate, even better than immaculate. Her home was forever spotless. She took great pride in cleanliness and had spent a great part of her life helping others keep theirs as hers.
Mary Lynn, as she was so affectionately called, was the oldest member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bardwell, KY, where she had been a lifelong member. She attended faithfully until her health kept her from attending as she so desired; however, she remained diligent and faithful in paying her tithes and offerings and keeping up with the business of the church business and the West Kentucky Green Valley District through both her biological family as well as others church members. She was a very active member who accompanied her daughter, the late Roberta Ann Martin, to many, many, meetings of the West Kentucky Green Valley District. She was a part of the West Kentucky Green Valley District's various functions, especially the Women In White. She would even participate by phone with the with the Green Valley Missionary Baptist Church's Bible Study and church services without hesitation. Mary Lynn was also a Charter and Former Member of the Kentucky Jurisdiction Order of the Eastern Star, Shining Star Chapter #138.
She was very civic minded and had served as President of the Clinton Community Service Club and the Praying Women Make A Difference Prayer Line Group.
Mary Lynn is survived by One Son , Issac Martin of Clinton, KY; One Daughter , Elizabeth (Dedric) Johnson, of Milwaukee, WI; One Granddaughter , Tanika Martin of Louisville, KY; One Grandson , Ian Caudle; Two-Great-Granddaughters , Twins, Braelyn and Brielle Martin of Louisville, KY; One Brother , Theodore (Carolyn) Martin of Kevil, Kentucky; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends .
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodis Faint; siblings, Ben Martin, Arthur Martin, Herschell (Mary Sue) Martin, Vertie B. Martin Woods, Eddie (Mildred) Martin, Margaret Martin (Thomas) Duncan, Carolyn Bolen, Shirley Martin Hall, Nancy Martin (Lavoy) Jenkins, Mattie Bell Martin, and Carroll (Ailene) Martin; Nephews, Michael Woods, Michael Bolen, Nathan Hall, Marvin Martin, and Tim Jenkins.
Mary Lynn Martin Faint will be sadly missed by a all who knew and loved her so much.
Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024, 1:00 PM, at Green Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton, KY, with Reverend Wendell D. Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Friends may call upon the family at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
