Black
December 23, 1949 – April 19, 2022
Mary Kelley Black entered her Heavenly Home from her residence in Paducah, Kentucky, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 8:47 a.m. She was born in Paducah on December 23, 1949, as the lovely daughter of Willie Wade Kelley and Sarah Ray Kelley. At the time of her transition to Heaven, Mary had reached the blessed age of 72 years, 3 months and 26 days.
Mary was a faithful member of Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church where she serv ed on the culinary committee. Mary was formerly employed by various nursing homes in the area. She was a caregiver to many patients and a paralegal for Charles Saladino.
Mary was known to family and friends as "the G. O. A. T." (the Greatest Of All Time). She was an independent individual who never asked for outside help and always tried to do everything for herself, by herself. Mary was always loving and full of laughter. Her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was shown through her unselfish preparation of delicious food for their consumption. She never failed to try to do her best to meet the needs of people she came in contact with including her extended family. She was a mother to everyone. A very caring person, Mary put her heart and soul into all that she did, not only for herself, but also for her family and friends.
Mary was a "FASHIONISTA" who enjoyed listening to old school rhythm and blues and gospel music.
