Margaret Louise McClure Puckett, 84, of Wingo, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013, 5:41 pm at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

Ms. Puckett was a member of Allen Chapel A. M. E. Church in Wingo, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Dunbar High School in Mayfield, Kentucky and attended Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Ms. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Puckett; one son, Howard Puckett, her parents Henry and Laculia McClure, and two brothers.

She is survived by one daughter, Lucille, Hayes, Wingo, KY; five sons, Melvin H. Puckett, Fulton, KY, William Puckett, Mayfield, KY, Dale Puckett, Las Vegas, NV, Carter Puckett, Menard, IL, and Harvey Puckett, Detroit, MI; three step-children, Donnie Massey, Regina Kent, and Linda Spann, all of Chicago, IL; a sister, Peggy Tribble of Fulton; 12 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services are scheduled for 12 Noon, Saturday, January 4, 2014, at St. James A. M. E. in Mayfield, Kentucky with Reverend Melvin H. Puckett officiating . Burial will follow at the Obion Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Friday, January 3, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. James A. M. E. Church in Mayfield, Kentucky and Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or the American Kidney Association.
