Marcus Mays, age 41, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, 3:41 p.m., at Baptist Health Paducah.

He was a security officer with the Holiday Inn of downtown Paducah.

He is survived by his parents , Freddy Speed and Minnie Mayes Speed of Mayfield; one son , Jordan Mays of Paducah; one daughter , Trinity Cheatham of Paducah; one grandson ; one sister , Tonia Speed of Cunningham, KY; maternal grandparents , Hattie Mays of Mayfield and James Metcalf of North Chicago, IL; one nephew, four aunts, five uncles and several cousins; a devoted companion, Brittany Cheatham of Paducah.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Stevenson, one sister, Tammy Speed and his paternal grandfather Clyde Mays.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Brandon Mason officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may also call on the family at the funeral home on Friday, July 20, 2018, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
