Louise Bradshaw Dabbs, age 87, of Metropolis, Il, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017, 10:20 p.m., at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was a member of Mt. Horeb Freewill Baptist Church where she was named Trustee Emeritus, served on the Mother's Board and was a former Usher. She retired as a nurse aide from Massac Memorial Hospital.

Survivor's include two sons , Ted William Jenkins and James A. Dabbs, both of Peoria, IL; one god-daughter , Mary Hansen of Metropolis, IL; one aunt , Evelee Wilson of Chicago, IL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

She was preceded in death by her parents,Francis Bradshaw and Magdalene Thomas Bradshaw; first husband Leotrice Jenkins and her second husband, Lewis Dabbs, Jr.; two sons, Ernest L. Jenkins and Anthony Dabbs; one great-granddaughter and one brother.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Horeb Freewill Baptist Church in Metropolis, IL.  Reverend Joe Benberry and Reverend C.B. Akins will officiate, and burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens in Metropolis, IL.

Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
