Louis Edward Rouse, age 73 years, 7 months and 10 days transitioned on Monday, October 21, 2024 at approximately 11:06 a.m. at his residence. He was born to the late Earl S. Rouse and Earline Young Rouse on March 11, 1951 in Paducah, KY.

Louis was baptized under the pastorate of the late Reverend Wardelle G. Harvey Sr.  at New Greater Love Church where he served on the usher ministry. He was a graduate of Heath High School and was previously employed at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital as a custodian.

Louis was affectionately known as "Big Lou" to his family and friends. He took great pride in doing yardwork an often enjoyed trying his hand at fishing and grilling.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Earl S. Rouse and Earline Young Rouse, two sisters, Earlie C. Stone and Jeanette Houston and one brother, William Earl Rouse.

He leaves to cherish his memory: One sister, Iva Rene Pullen of Paducah, KY; One niece, Michelle Yvonne Pullen of Louisville, KY and One nephew, Howard (Rita) Houston of Paducah; A Host of Cousins and many friends.

Louis will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, 12 Noon at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Benny Heady and Reverend Eric McKinney officiating.

There will be no visitation.
