Louis E. Harris passed away at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 5 days on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Baptist Health Paducah.  He was born March 5, 1945, as the son of the late Ola Poe Hart in Paducah, KY.

Louis' church family was with New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church and joyfully spent his days at the Baptist Health Active Day Center.

Louis took great pride in standing at the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Harahan Boulevard waving with a smile to all who passed by.

Louis was well loved and cared for by his family which included his Two Sisters, Geneva Fisher of Paducah, KY and Ruth Ann Jones of LaVergne, TN; Three Brothers, Darrell Anderson, Perry (Sandra) Anderson and Reverend Alfred (Sheila) Anderson and One Uncle, Tom (Beverly) Wright, all of Paducah, KY; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Louis was also preceded in death by his mothers, Ollie Poe Hart and Lillie B. Anderson as well as his eight brothers, Otey Anderson, Nathaniel Anderson, John Anderson, William Anderson, Bobby Anderson, Larry Anderson, James Anderson and Jimmy Anderson.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Fred Ford and Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
