Loretta P. Norman Maxwell, age 69, Paducah, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 1:15 p.m., at Western Baptist Hospital.

She was a member of First Love Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as Church Treasurer, Sabbath School Teacher, Community Service Leader, past Church Clerk, past Elder and Sabbath School Superintendent.

Mrs. Maxwell graduated in 1959 as Class Salutatorian from Lincoln High School and then attended Paducah Junior College and Draughon's Business College. She was formerly employed by Liberty Market, A & P Grocery Store and her family business, Happy Day, Day Care Center. She was a member of the Kentucky Foster Parent Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Norman and Dorothy Pearl Wheeler Norman; a son, Edward Veon Maxwell, Jr.; a brother and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Maxwell is survived by a son, Manulito Maxwell, Paducah, KY; Two Daughters, Leontyne Maxwell Garnett and Monalita Maxwell Murphy, both of Paducah, KY; Two Brothers, Dartanya Beaugard and Taronque Beaugard, both of Las Vegas, NV; Five Sisters, Dorothynell Crowe of Hendersonville, TN, Gwendolyn Smith Bolen of Gardenia, CA, her Twin, Rosetta Vinson of Paducah, KY, Violet Johnson of Paducah, KY, and Valdez DeBoe of Atlanta, GA.; 16 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 23, 2011, 12:30 P.M., at The Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Albert Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The Family will receive visitors at The Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday, June 23, 2011, 11:00 a.m., until the funeral hour.
