Obituary
Lloyd "Brownie" Bradford, 91, Metropolis, IL, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, 1:30 P.M., at Lourdes Hospital.
He was a member of North Crockett Street Church of Christ in Brookport,IL and a Veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired mechanic of Allied Chemicals.
He is survived by two sons, William Junior Bradford of Mermet,IL. Franklin Sanders Bradford, of Metropolis, IL; one daughter, Crystal F. Raye of Metropolis, IL; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Waymond "Pap" Bradford of Indianapolis, IN, and one sister, Helen Sutton of Metropolis, IL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Marie Sanders Bradford; parents, William Franklin Bradford and Bessie Lowery Bradford; one daughter, six brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 6, 2012, 12:00 Noon, at North Crockett Street Church of Christ, 508 North Crockett Street, Brookport, IL, with Brother William Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Mathis Cemetery in Choate, IL. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
