Leverda "Peanut" Johnson Pierson, age 74, of Paducah passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, 3:58 a.m. at her residence.

She was a member New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Chief Usher.

She was a  graduate of the former Lincoln High School and West Kentucky Vocational Technical School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Stanley Johnson, Sr. and O.Z. Sherrill Johnson; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Luten, one aunt, Arah Lee Bramley and two uncles, John T. Sherrill and James Albert Sherrill.

Survivors include a son , Fredrick Lamont Pierson and a daughter , Maria Elizabeth Pierson Miller both of Paducah; Eleven (11) Grandchildren; Four (4) Great- Grandchildren; Two Sisters, Edna Watson of Rock Island, IL and Vanessa Gail Blakemore, Paducah; Six Brothers , Luther S. Johnson, Jr., Percy Johnson, Hildry Johnson and James Johnson all of Paducah, Willie J. Johnson, Rock Island, IL and Reverend Larry O'Shea Johnson, Sr. of Dallas, TX; One Aunt; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Fred Ford and Reverend Larry O. Johnson, Sr. officiating.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund in Memory of Leverda Pierson.
