Obituary
Lester David Matthews, Jr., age 61, of Ellenwood, GA, formerly of Paducah, passed away February 2, 2017, at his residence.
He was a member of County Line United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his Wife of 25 years, Marla C. Matthews of Ellenwood, GA,; One daughter, Elvira Matthews; Three sons, Aaron Matthews, Anwar Matthews, and Demeco Matthews; his Mother, Ocie Ray Dance of Paducah; a Step-daughter, Courtney J. Gregory; three grandchildren; five brothers, Clarence Matthews, Donald Matthews, Thomas Matthews, John Matthews and Daniel Matthews, two uncles; four aunts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Lester D. Matthews, Sr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017, 2:00 p.m., at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home. Reverend B. Kennedy will officiate.
