Lenora Ann Wade, of Paducah, KY, transitioned from earthly life to an eternal home in heaven on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Baptist Health in Paducah. At the time of her passing she had reached the age of 63 years, 11 months and 7 days.
Lenora attended Paducah Tilghman High School and acquired some college credits to enhance her educational pursuits. She was a member of Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church and worked with Community Coming Together to increase unity and cultural awareness in Paducah, especially on the South Side.
Lenora was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She loved her family, especially the grandchildren, and took great delight in the weekly family gatherings. One of her many gifts included having a "green thumb" and she loved to utilize that gift by working in her garden. In her leisure time, Lenora loved to journal and become closer to the Lord through reading her daily devotional.
Lenora was preceded in death by her spouse, Charles Wade; her parents, Woodrow Ellison and Shirley Ann Titsworth Ellison; a granddaughter, Enyjah Wells; and a bonus son, Demetric Flint.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Anthony (Dalecia) Ellison; three daughters, Felisha (Greg) Johnson, Tiffany Ellison, and Keyonna (Samuel) Gholson, all of Paducah; thirteen grandchildren, Erica Ellison, Shawndeis Ellison, Keondre Ellison, Trinity Henderson, Anthony Ellison, Jr., Xsavion Cleary, A'Miracle Ellison, A'Legacy Ellison, Elijah Wells, Keegan Gholson, Kasen Gholson, Isabell Gholson, and Ophelia Gholson; four great-grandchildren, Da'Mya Ellison, Keon Ellison, Damerion Wilson, A'Nari Copeland; one brother, Michael Ellison of Paducah; three sisters, Cassandra Williams and Vernita Flemons, both of Paducah, and Ashley (Christopher) Trice of Powder Springs, GA; an uncle, Leroy Williams of Buffalo, NY; Several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, step-brothers, step-sisters; Special Friend and Companion, Jerome Flint of Columbus, GA; Special Friend, Jackie Reed of Murray, KY; and Bonus Daughter, Jerona Flint of Louisville, KY.
Lenora will be greatly missed by both family and friends who loved her.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 23, 2023, 12:00 NOON, at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may also call on the family at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
