Laura Kirtie Sains Petty, 63, of Paducah, died Thursday at her residence.

She was a lifelong member of St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and a for- mer housekeeper at the Irvin Cobb Hotel.

She is survived by a daughter Tammy Marie Sains and a son Carl Thomas Sains Sr., both of Paducah; a brother Pete Sains of Cleveland, OH; three sisters Mattie Sains, Fannie Sains, and Sally Cornwell, all of Paducah; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Eugene Petty, her parents Pete Sains and Dave Ella Beasley Sains, three brothers and two sisters.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at New Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church. Reverends W.G. Harvey and Darvin A. Adams will officiate.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial hour.
