Laura Teresa Sains Hall-Cawthon began her journey of life in Paducah, Kentucky on January 14, 1962.  She was born the lovely daughter to her parents, Mattie Sains and the late Henry Burns.  On Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 1:55 a.m., Laura's life journey ended at Bon Secours Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital of Paducah, Kentucky.  At her last breath, Laura had reached the wonderful age of 59 years, 3 months and 18 days.

Laura was a member of the New Greater Love Church and had also attended the Just By Faith Ministries in Metropolis, Illinois.  Laura had a great gift of prayer and loved serving her Lord and Savior.

Laura was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and shared her talent in track and field.  She enrolled at the West Kentucky Technical and Vocational College where she was certified in culinary arts.  Laura was also employed as a certified nursing assistant with the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah, Kentucky.

Laura Hall Cawthon, both a proud woman and mother, dearly loved her family and had a very compassionate love for her grandchildren.  She was one who believed in being nothing but the best and to stand in first place in all she attempted to do.  Her need to show her family and friends the results of hard work and being tenacious, led to her always reminding others that, "Second Is The First To Lose!!" She was dependable and was known as "Big Mama to Many" ; the biggest mama to all.

Laura was super talented as an artist and as a math tutor.  Her math skills were utilized by many of whom she tutored and even taught.  Crotcheting was also another talent she possessed.

Laura touched many lives and left this world with parts of her that will live on in others.  She was an organ donor who donated her corneas, parts of her skin, and four valves of her heart.  What a wonderful memory to leave on this side of Heaven.

(Lisa Brown) Hall of Union City, TNY; Her Mother , Mattie Sains of Paducah, KY; Eighteen Grandchildren , De'Juana (Raheem Boyd) Maxwell-Hall of Martin, TN, Kestin (Savannah Ellis) McClain of Paducah, KY, De'Nise Maxwell-Hall of Louisville, KY, De'Von Maxwell-Hall, Keon McClain, LaNaysha Hunt-Hall, Ben Hall III, Isaiah Hall, Donovan Hall, LaKaysha Hunt-Hall , , Ke'Mari McClain, Jewel Hall, Jr., LaDaetyn Hall, Kemuel McClain Lindsey, Jewel Zyttius Hall, A'Jriel Hall, Ava Michelle Hall , and Jania Browne, all of Paducah, KY; Two Great-Grandchildren , Ke'Mioireon Askew of Paducah, KY and Jai'Den Smith of Martin, TN, Three Brothers ,  Mathis Sains, Ralph Burns and Michael Burns all of Paducah, One Sister, DyVonnettea Wiley of Corpus Christi, TX; Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends, including Special sisters, Tammie Sains, Latonya Douglas-Caison, Pamela Crider, Willa Coleman, Cecelia Barnette, and Karen Wilson, all of Paducah, KY and Tara Copeland of South Carolina, a very special friend Henry Anderson.

Laura Teresa Sins Hall-Cawthon will forever be remembered for the love she showed to all who knew and loved her in return.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 11:00 a.m. New Greater Love Church with Elder LaRita Horton and Reverend Dr. Gwendolyn Duncan officiating.  Burial will follow at a later date.

Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all attendees are asked to wear both a mask and gloves and to maintain a social distance of 6 feet at all times.
