LaShanna N. Williams was called to her Heavenly Home at the age of 47 years, 10 months and 7 days. She answered her Heavenly call at Baptist Health of Paducah on Monday, January 3, 2022 at approximately 3:54 p.m.
Lashanna was formerly employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Attis Home Health Care Services in Metropolis, IL.
LaShanna was of the Christian faith who loved the Lord and attended various churches in the city. She loved listening to gospel music featuring artists such as Yolanda Adams and Mary Mary. Another musical artist she loved was the famous Michael Jackson in which she told her children he was their daddy. LaShanna was a very down-to-earth woman who was a very good cook, loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Her children described her as someone who was meant to be a mother.
Those to mourn her loss are: one son, Jevon (Shawn) Ford of Paducah; two daughters, Aprionna Ford of Paducah and Davinia (Austin) Staton of Metropolis, IL; six grandchildren, Amaya Asbury of Paducah, Kayden Caldwell, Zane Staton, Gracelyn Staton, Zakiyia Staton and Kinley Staton all of Metropolis, IL; two brothers, James (Rebecca) Waterfield and Chris Mayes both of Paducah; three sisters, Helen (James) Clark of West Paducah, Brenda Jackson of Mayfield, KY and Wanda Davis of Cincinnati, OH; her fiancee', Eric Stout of Paducah, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special niece like a sister Rosie Barnett.
She was preceded in death by her parents James "Joe" Berry and Doris Waterfield Caldwell, two brothers, Johnnie Caldwell, Jessie Caldwell and four sisters, Deborah Caldwell, Betty Caldwell. Rosie Stevenson and Lola Caldwell.
A walk-thru visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home.
All attendees are required to wear a mask.
