Kittye E. Williams entered eternal rest on Friday, September 11, 2026, at her residence surrounded by loved ones. At the time of her passing, Kittye had acquired 80 years, six months and eight days of life on this side of heaven.

Kittye was born in Paducah, Kentucky, on March 3, 1946, the daughter of Charles Henry and Nettie White. She attended Lincoln High School but graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School after Lincoln was closed. Later she continued her education at Draughon’s Business College.

Kittye, a faithful member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years, was dedicated in all her pursuits. She served as a devoted member of the Usher Ministry and in the culinary department. She was previously employed at Lourdes Hospital, Superior Nursing Home, and retired from Riverfront Terrace after 20 years of service.

Kittye will always be remembered for the love she shared with others and the love people had for her. Cooking was one of her favorite things to do for family and friends who always requested her turnip greens. Her warm, inviting personality made it easy for her to talk. She always had something to say and loved telling a good story. She could strike up a conversation with just about anybody. She loved being surrounded by family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

In her leisure time, Kittye liked to capture memories with photos and her passion for food shows. She was a die-hard UK fan who loved to cheer for her Wildcats.

Left behind to cherish precious memories of Kittye are Her Children, Victoria Armstrong of Paducah, Kentucky, Keith Simon of Louisville, Kentucky, Valerie Wright of Palmetto, Georgia, and Ahmon Williams of Arlington, Virginia; Twenty-one Grandchildren; Eleven Great-Grandchildren; One Sister, Louise Van Dyke of Champaign, Illinois; One Brother, Charles Henry, Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; One Aunt, Theresa Davis of Los Angeles, California; Three Brothers-in-Law, Nolen Peggs, of Chicago, Illinois, Carlos Fowler, Michael Williams, both of Louisville, Kentucky; Two Sisters-in-Law, Jean DuVall of Louisville, Kentucky and Audrey Fowler-White of Chicago, Illinois; One Sister-Cousin, Linda White of Paducah; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends; along with Special Friends, Debbie Burrow-Sea, Helen Pearson, Wanda Flournoy and Janice Roman.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two grandchildren, Mark Boguszewski and Aesha Simon; two sisters, Jean Henry and Carolyn Barber; and her stepfather, Henry Clay Hodges.

Kittye’s lively personality, caring nature, and love for a good time will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, 12 noon at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend George Kerry Barber, Sr. officiating.

Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
