KIMBERLY PUREFOY
ANDERSON
February 24, 2026
Kimberly Purefoy Anderson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on April 16, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, to loving parents, James Purefoy and Lucille Richardson Purefoy. She departed this world at her residence in Paducah, Kentucky, on February 24, 2026, at 4:24 p.m.
With a career that spanned approximately eight to ten years as a caregiver for Neuro Restorative, Kimberly embodied compassion and dedication in her work. Her bubbly personality and humor touched everyone she encountered; she never met a stranger, always greeting others with warmth and kindness. Her family remembers her as an outstanding cook, a voracious reader, and a woman with a little spice in her everyday goings-on that will forever be cherished.
Growing up in a large family as the fifth of nine children, Kimberly's love for her family was immense. She held a special affection for her husband, Thomas E. Anderson of Paducah, Kentucky, whom she often referred to as her first love. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and laughter.
Her greatest joy, however, came from Her Children: Anita N. (Chad) Young of Wickliffe, KY, Robin Purefoy of Paducah, KY, Robert Purefoy of Indianapolis, IN, and Tifanie L. Purefoy of Carbondale, IL. Each of them carries a piece of Kimberly's loving spirit forward in their lives. As a doting grandmother, Kimberly was obsessed with Her Eight Grandchildren: Taylor M. Young and Robert J. Young of Wickliffe, KY, Ashley R. Young of Paducah, KY, Erin N, Young of Wickliffe, KY, Brandon Purefoy and Donovan Hall both of Paducah, KY, Thomas E. Purefoy of Wickliffe, KY and Shanise Purefoy of Metropolis, IL. She took immense pride in her role as a Great-Grandmother to Five: Aubre D. Rambo of Barlow, KY, Audre M. Schuder, Averie G. Lovelace, Samuel M. Lovelace, and Elias J. Macklin all of Wickliffe, KY.
Kimberly's talents extended beyond caregiving; she was a crafty woman known particularly for her skill in crocheting. Her creative spirit was a testament to her vibrant and nurturing character.
Her legacy will live on through Her Siblings: Donna (Jimmy) Purefoy of Richmond, VA, Steven Purefoy, Renee Purefoy, both of Akron, OH, Michelle Gardner of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Cheryl Purefoy of Indianapolis, IN, along with several loving Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, and Great Nephews.
Kimberly will reunite in her Heavenly Home with her parents, a sister, Patsy Reynolds, her grandson, Exavier Purefoy, and her great-granddaughter, Nylah Young.
In Kimberly's absence, the family and friends she treasured will gather with heavy hearts, but cherished memories. They will remember her laughter, her cooking, and the love she so freely gave. She will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will undoubtedly continue to illuminate the paths of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
A private family gathering will be conducted at a later time and date.
