Kent F. Woods, Sr., 81, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017, 3:15 a.m., at McCracken Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.

He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by two sons , Ronnie Ray Dodd and Kent F. Woods, Jr. both of Paducah; one granddaughter , Khloe Woods of Paducah; six brothers , John Thomas Woods, Santa Rosa, CA, Vernon Franklin Woods, Decatur, IL, Cletus Woods, Richard E. Woods, and Melvin W. Woods, all of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry B. Woods; his parents, Ollie Woods and Datha Ford Woods; three brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 15, 2017, 1:00 p.m . at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend C.T. Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
