Obituary

Keesha Adell Fitzpatrick Fayne entered her Eternal Home on Thursday, March 24, 2022, in Atlanta, GA at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital.  Keesha was born the lovely daughter of Carmen Fitzpatrick Glore and David Ballard on March 29, 1974, in Paducah, Kentucky.

Keesha accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and was baptized into membership at the Mt. Horeb Church in Metropolis, Illinois at a young age. She served in both the choir and usher ministries.

Keesha was a graduate of Massac County High School and later received an Associate Degree from Southern Illinois University. She was employed at AmerisourceBergen in Atlanta, and she thoroughly enjoyed working as a dealer at the Casino in Metropolis, IL.

Keesha was a very caring, highly intelligent young woman possessed with both quick wit and a sharp tongue. She was passionate about many things, especially her family, basketball and football. She was an avid fan of the Spurs as well as both 90s R&B and gospel music. Her favorite pastimes included traveling, reading, and shopping, especially for shoes. Blue was her favorite color.

Keesha leaves to cherish her many memories: Her Mother and Step-Father , Carmen Fitzpatrick Glore and Pastor William Glore of Metropolis, Il; Her Father , David (Brenda) Ballard of Pulaski, Il; Two Sisters , Mea Fitzpatrick of Metropolis, IL and Demetria (James) Jackson of Mascoutha, IL; One Brother , Russell (Kerri) Thurman, Jr., Three Nephews , Izayah Thurman and T.J. Dunn of Metropolis, IL and Damir Ballard of Georgia; three Nieces , Jaden Fitzpatrick of Metropolis, IL , Eboni and Serenity Ballard of GA; Two Aunts , Ida (Reverend Benny) Heady of West Paducah, KY and Judith (Isaac) Martin of Metropolis, IL; One  Great-great Aunt , Clara Dabbs of Cleveland, OH; Two cousins , Wesley Brooks of Indiana and Neece Martin of Louisville, KY; her maternal grandparents Robert Lee and Esther Fitzpatrick of Metropolis, IL; a Sister-in-law , Shanta Ballard of Atlanta, GA, a host of several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends, including her special childhood friends.

Keesha was preceded in death by her brother, David (D. J.) Ballard Jr., one uncle Robert L. (Bubba) Fitzpatrick, Jr. and paternal grandparents Will and Minerva Ballard.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Horeb Church in Metropolis, IL with Reverend Willliam Glore officiating.  Burial to follow in Masonic Cemetery.

Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.

All attendees are required to wear a mask.
