Kate E. Senter, 67, Paducah, passed away Tuesday, 9:27 p.m., at Western Baptist Hospital.
She was a member of Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries where she sang in the church choir, was praise and worship leader, and a youth counselor. She also served on the W.C. Young Community Center Board of Directors; was member of Queen Esther Chapter #4, Order of the Eastern Star where she served as treasurer; a member of the Inter-Denominational Union Choir where she was 2nd Vice-President; a member of both the Golden Echoes and Inspirational Voices; and was a member of the River City Senate of the National Bowling Association.
Kate was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a graduate of West Kentucky Vocational School with a degree in business education. She was a retired bookkeeper from the West Kentucky Gas Company and as a teacher aide at the Paducah Middle School.
She is survived by two brothers, Altha Lee Senter and John H. Senter, both of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Wesley Senter and Mable Senter Johns; two brothers, Herbert Wesley Senter and George "Pete" Senter; and two sisters, Joan Marie Senter and Betty Jo Senter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries, with Elder Barbara Burrage officiating with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the church after 11:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday 12 noon until the funeral hour.
