Julia M. Sanders, age 65 of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, 3:42 p.m. at Baptist Health Paducah.

She was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the Nurse's Aide and Wellness Ministries.

She obtained her nurses degree at Paducah Community College and was retired from Western Baptist Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie F. Sanders and Sarah Elizabeth Patterson Sanders and one sister, Odessa Savannah Fisher.

She is survived by one daughter, Danielle Sanders, Smyrna, TN ; one son, Donald Shaw, Paducah, KY ; four grandchildren, Taryce Johnson,m Smyrna, TN , Essence Starks and Donye Starks, both of Paducah, KY , and Faith Starks, Oak Grove, KY , one great-grandson, Da'Moni Julian Khash Stigger, Paducah, KY , four sisters, Thelma Elizabeth Booker, Washington, PA ,; Shirley Lea Conner, Dunwoody, GA ; Ardenia (J.W.) Cleary, West Paducah, KY ; Tressie Lea (Richard) Sanders-Turner, Redwood, MS ; three brothers, Bennie F. (Yvonne) Sanders, Jr., Del Rio, TX , Robert Lee Sanders, Redwood, MS and Eddie Lee Sanders, Paducah, KY ; one uncle , Cleveland White, Cleveland, MS ; one brother-in-law , Edward Fisher, Jr., Redwood, MS ; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends including her Best Friend, Mary Cobb Blumer, Hawthorne, FL and Close Friends, Lettie Wilson, Virginia Ewing and Mary Taber .

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, June 15, 2020, 12:00 Noon at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. James L. Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may also call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
