Jorge Luis Cruz, Jr., age 52, of Paducah, formerly of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, 7:55 a.m., at his residence.

Jorge attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he served as groundskeeper. He worked in construction at Kohl's Department Store.

He is survived by his wife of thirteen years , Diana Russell Simmonswright of Paducah; three daughters , Bettina Simmons and Jocelyn Wright, both of Harrisonburg, VA and LaQuita Simmons of Huntington, WV; one son , Derrick T. Wright of Harrisonburg, VA; his father , Jorge Luis Cruz, Sr. of New York, NY; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Wanda Rodriguez of Stony Point, NY; one brother, Ricardo Cruz of Philadelphia, PA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Reyes Cruz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Donna G. Newsome Hawkins officiating.

Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the memorial hour.
