Funeral Services for Johnny Twonsley, 53, Lexington, KY, formerly of Paducah, KY, will be Friday, December 28, 2007, 1:00 P.M., at Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Reverend Rita Story and Reverend James Bolen, Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Hills Chapel Cemetery.
Johnny died of natural causes on Friday, December 21, 2007, 11:15 P.M. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Friends may call at Burks Chapel AME Church on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Jonny was a member of Hills Chapel AME Church, a graduate of Lone Oak High School, and had attended Murray State University. He was a fromer employee of Pilgrim's Pride where he worked as a line operator.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Dorothy McGee Townsley, Lexington, KY; his mother, Latisha Mathews Townsley, Cincinnati, OH; His step-mother, Gloria Leonard, Paducah, KY; four sisters, Ginger Sandusky & Alice Taylor, Lexington, KY, LaShae Stubblefield, California, Odessa Twonsley, Paducah, Ky; seven brothers, edwin Twonsley, Aiken, SC, Gary Twonsley, Metropolis, IL, Derrick Taylor, Peoria, AZ, Churck Twonsley & Teddy Townsley, Paducah, KY, ronGalbreath & Chad Galbreath, Mayfield, KY; a step-sister, Candice Leonard; Paducah, KY, a step-brother, Victor Shelby; Nashville, Tn, two uncles, one aunt & several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Hubert Townsley, a son Jonathan Twonsley, a brother Donnie Jewel Townsley, and a sister Reverend Debra Twonsley Conner.
