John H. Tyler, Sr., age 71, of Paducah passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, 4:30 p.m. at Lourdes Hospital.

He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and West Kentucky Vocational –Technical School in Auto mechanics. He was a retiree of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. John was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Tyler, Sr., his mother, Katie Tyler Ragsdale, his step-father, Kermit Ragsdale, three brothers and a sister.

Tyler is survived by Two Sons Diamond D. Tyler and John Tyler, Jr. both of Paducah, KY ; a Step-Daughter, Angela D. Tyler of Paducah; Three Brothers, Terry Ragsdale of Paducah, Edward Tyler and Leroy Tyler both of Detroit, MI; Seven Sisters, Deloris Ragsdale Elliott of Cincinnati, OH, Frankie Ragsdale Drew, Connie Ragsdale, Edna Tyler Allen, Ellener Tyler Deboe , Ella Tyler Mayes and Mamie Tyler Stewart all of Paducah KY; Nine Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012, 12 Noon at the New Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Wade officiating with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
