John "Sam" Dickerson, 70, Stone Mountain, Georgia, formerly of Paducah, Kentucky died Saturday, March 31, 2012, 3:14 p.m.at DeKalb Medical Center in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
He was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church in Brownsville ,TN. and was educated in the Brownsville, Tennessee School System.

He was an agriculturalist.

He is survived by his father, Ernest Dickerson, Milwaukee, WI; two sons, Eric Dickerson, Aurora, IL and Adrian Stubblefield, Paducah, KY; five daughters, Rhonda Red, Sacramento, CA; Sharon Dillon and Maurine Edwards, both of Milwaukee, WI; Charise Stubblefield, Paducah, KY; Tiffany Bolen, Decatur, GA; one stepdaughter, Faye Morris, Paducah, KY; three sisters, Alice Lovelace, Pearl Carter, both of Paducah, KY; Laura Pullen, Dallas, TX; three brothers, Thomas Dickerson, Kenneth Dickerson and Leonard Dickerson, all of Milwaukee, WI; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Martin Dickerson; his mother, Alice Taylor Johnson and two brothers.

Visitation will be held at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home, Monday, April 9, 2012 from 10 AM until 12 Noon with Graveside Services at 12:30 p.m. at Maplelawn Park Cemetery, Paducah, KY
