John H. Lowery, age 73, of Paducah, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, 10:30 a.m., at his residence.

He was a member of Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries where he served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam Era.

He is survived by three daughters , Crystal Marks of Goodlettsville, TN, Laronda Lowery of Louisville, and Valerie Martin of Frederick, MD; two sons , Jon B. Lowery of Fayetteville, AR and Armond J Johnson of Paducah; one sister , Gloria Ferguson of Paducah; one brother , J.C. ,(Clyde) Lowery, Jr. of Cleveland. OH; nine grandchildren ; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Lowery and Sophie Parson Lowery; his wife, Mary Ezell Lowery; one sister and one brother.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries with Reverend Thaddyeus W. Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow on Monday, April 23, 2018, 11:30 a.m., in Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.

Friends may also may call on the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
