Jimmy L. Finch Sr., age 75 of Paducah surrounded by his family, our Heavenly father called him home on Sunday, January 9, 2022, 6:57 p.m. at Mercy Health Lourdes to his eternal home.

Jimmy Lee Finch Sr. was born to Georgia Mae Tolbert, Finch, Burns and Tom Barge Finch on March 14,1946 in Pensacola Fl. After his father passed, he was raised by his mother and step-father Cannon Jerry Burns.

Jimmy was Preceded in death by his parents:  Georgia Mae Burns, Tom Barge Finch and step father Cannon Jerry Burns. One brother: Fred Burns "Freddie."

Believing in God Almighty he confessed his hope in Christ at an early age.

Jimmy was educated in the Paducah school system until he joined the Army in 1965 and then continued his education through the United States Army.

Jimmy was a Vietnam Veteran, he joined the Army December 21, 1965 and served five years. After his honorable discharge he owned and operated several businesses, (Used Car Lot, Janitorial, Construction, Tax preparation, to name a few.) until his health issues prevented him from working. He was still there to lend a helping hand when possible. Even if it was only to supervise. Jimmy was very knowledgeable; he was a teacher and mentor to anyone willing to learn.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory Five Daughters; Linda (James) Matkins of Edwardsville IL, Melissa (Ricky) Robertson of Rothsay MN, Michelle (Craig) Taylor of Corinth MS, Felicia Finch of Corinth MS and Kristie Finch of Paducah KY. Two Sons; Jimmy Lee Finch Jr. of Clarksville TN, Johnathan Finch of Louisville KY, Four Brothers; Kenneth Burns, Carl Burns, Milton Burns, Joe Burns all of Paducah KY, Three Sisters; Debra Dunbar, Nazzie Burns, and Jackie Jones all of Paducah KY. Along with a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Great Nieces, Nephews, Great Nephews, Cousins, and Special Friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 22, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home.

Frinds may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Entombment with Military Honors will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

All in attendance are required to wear a mask.
