Obituary
Jewel F. Wilson, Sr., 73, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015, 10:50 pm, at Baptist Health of Paducah.
He was a member of St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church where he sang in the Men's Choir as a soloist. He was a retired Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Yvonne Titsworth Wilson of Paducah; one son, Jewel F. Wilson, Jr. of Paducah; five daughters, Conchita McHaney, Debra Duffy, Christa Wilson, Karla Wilson and Janet Tyler, all of Paducah; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dow Wilson, Jr. of Houston, TX and William Wilson of Paducah ; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dow H. Wilson, Sr. and Hattie E. Williams Wilson, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015, 1:00 pm, at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Joshua Hale and Reverend Ronald Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with military rites.
Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
