Jerry L. Wade, age 76 of Brookport, IL passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, 12:38 a.m. at Baptist Health Paducah.

He was of the Christian faith and served as a veteran in the United States Army.

Jerry loved going fishing, playing cards and having a good time talking with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Wade, Jr. and Velma Grace Alexander Wade, two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Gales, four grandchildren, Ja'Kee Curtley, Andrelle Hopkins, Kadyn Gales and Kyler Gales, two great-grandchildren, Ariel Curtley and Alayah Curtley, seven siblings, Barbara Bailey, Edith Newby, David Wade, Debbie Wade, Judy Wright, Rosalyn Ann Henson and Larry Wade, one aunt, Esther Fitzpatrick, several nieces, nephews and his best friend Rick Gibbs.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, July 8, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Wade officiating.
