Obituary

Jerry Lee Southward, age 63, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018, 10:20 p.m., at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.

Jerry was a former member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and a certified auto mechanic through West Kentucky State Vocational School.  Jerry also was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife , Patricia Diane Thacker Southward of Paducah; eight sons , Juwan Southward, Ellis "Tubbs" Franklin, Jermetrius Southward, Jahiem Southward, and Montez McClure , all of Paducah, Jermaine Southward of Indianapolis, IN, Jerry Southward III of St. Louis, MO and Jamil Wilkerson of Cadiz, KY; four daughters , Tameka Southward of Paducah, Catrica Smith and Tonya Jenkins, both of Indianapolis, IN and Ronisha Duboise of Atlanta, GA; four sisters , Eloise Southward and Patricia Drew both of Paducah, Barbara Gary of Seattle ,WA and Ann Southward of Chicago, IL; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Southward and Juanita Mae Irving Southward Nunley; two sons, Juan Daniels and Jerry Southward, Jr. and a brother, Ruben Southward, Jr.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 28, 2018, 1:00 p.m ., at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson and Reverend Michael Wade officiating.  Burial will follow on Friday, June 29, 2018, 12:00 o'clock noon in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West of Hopkinsville, KY.

Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
