Obituary
Jerri M. Morris, 63, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016, 2:15 p.m., at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. She was a retired Teacher's Aide with the Paducah City School System's Headstart Program. She was presently employed as a Victim's Advocate at the Merryman House.
She is survived by a son, Shawn Smith of Louisville; one daughter, Veleashia Byrd of Gainesville, FL; three sisters, Patricia Smith of Warrensville Heights, OH, Myra Hooks of Shorter, AL and Terri White of Nashville, TN; one brother, Byron Smith of Fresno, TX; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Smith and Mamie Louise Pryor Smith and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2016, 12:00 o'clock noon, at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating.
Friends may also call at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
