Janice M. Shaw, age 69 ,of Paducah, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020, 11:09 p.m. at Baptist Health Paducah.

Janice was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church, and a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. She also attended Computer School in Louisville, Kentucky and was formerly employed in the maintenance department at Union Carbide.

Janice's most meaningful motto in life was "Trust God" . Janice enjoyed playing her favorite sport softball where she played first base. She loved cooking and trying new recipes often watching the cooking channel. She was known for her famous chili and hot tamales.

Janice was very humble, good spirited and very protective of her family. She was all around a great person.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Lee Hodge and Julia Marie Jackson, one brother Alan L. Hodge and one sister, Velma Lee Hodge.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter , Danielle M. Shaw; one son, Dorian F. Shaw, one granddaughter , Da'Janelle D. Shaw, one sister , Teresa Brooks, three nieces, Chanel Bradshaw and Alana Hodge both of Paducah, Kentucky and Danetra Hodge of Bowling Green, KY; one nephew, Alan Hodge Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee; her loving grand-pup , Roscoe Shaw of Paducah, KY; several cousins and friends .

A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home in Paducah.
