James F. Watkins entered Everlasting Life from his residence in Paducah, Kentucky on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at approximately 10:40 AM. When his Earthly Life came to its close, James had sojourned her on earth for 74 years and 18 days. James was born February 23, 1947, to the late Willie Watkins and Etta Mae Weatherspoon Watkins in Hickory Valley, Tennessee.
James was a Christian who believed in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was also employed for over 50 years with the Dalton Meat Factory in Jackson, Tennessee.
James, a known sharp dressed man from head to toe, really was fond of riding motorcycles and was a former member of the Ram Rods Motorcycle Club, President of the Tennessee Strollers Motorcycle Club and Vice-President of Sin City Motorcycle Club in Jackson, Tennessee. James loved to travel, listen to music, and was very talkative. All in all, James was a take charge person.
James leaves his many loved ones to cherish his many memories: One Son , Jai Franklin; One Daughter , Taronica George of Paducah, KY; Six Grandchildren , Michael Robinson of Paducah, KY, Aerion Jones of Bowling Green, KY, Damarion Leggs of Paducah, KY, Terajae Woolen of Paducah, KY, Da'Brien Fitzgerald of Lithionia, GA, and Da'Nija Woolen of Paducah, KY; One Great-Granddaughter , Michalyn Robinson; One Brother , Eugene Watkins of Paducah, KY; Three Sisters , Eleanor (James) Leggs, Gloria Jean (Ivory) Conner and Deborah McKenzie, all of Paducah, KY; Several Nieces , Nephews , Cousins , and Friends ; Other Relatives and including Rochelle Shaw, Brenda Strow, and Anita Baker, Shirley Cole, Mr. Charlie and Mr. Slim.
James was also preceded in death by one grandson, Malcolm Taron Hensley; one great-grandson, Messyiah Hensley; one brother, Curtis Watkins and one aunt, Ellen Siner.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, 12 noon at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah with Rev. William Benson officiating.
There will be no visitation.
