James R. Teague, Sr., 79, of Paducah, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, 11:13 pm, at Baptist Health Paducah.

He was a former minister of North Crockett Street Church of Christ in Brookport, IL, and was presently a member of Central Church of Christ of Paducah where he served as an Elder. He retired as a supervisor in Custodial services from Paducah Tilghman High School.

He is survived by Two Sons, Thaddeus Teague of Paducah and James R. Teague, Jr., of Plantation, FL; One Daughter, Domestra Hawkins of Paducah; Nine grandchildren; Three Great-Grandchildren; Five Brothers, Bobby Teague of Jackson, TN, Odell Teague of Lexington, TN, Adell Teague of Parson, TN, Eddie Teague and Paul Teague, both of Paducah;
Four Sisters, Jearlene Cooper, Paducah ,Ruthie Mae Harmon and Christine Hall, both of Lexington, TN and Louise Nichols of Selmer, TN; Two Uncles; Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great-Nephews, and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Seldon Teague; his parents Junior Robert Teague and Lillie Ida Tharpe Teague; three brothers, two sisters, and two great-granddaughters.

Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 19, 2016, 1:00 pm, at Central Church of Christ of Paducah. Jim Faughn, William D. Hensley and Willie Bradshaw will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
