James Irvin Dawson, Sr.'s Obituary
James Irvin Dawson, Sr., 85, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016, 3:21 am, at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was a member of First Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of Amvets Post #56.
He was a retiree with the Tennessee Valley Authority and a business entrepreneur for over 65 years.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters, Javanta Dawson of Petersburg, VA, James Dawson ,Jr., Jana L. Dawson and Jary Dawson, all of Paducah; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, one aunt and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Dawson and Sarah Davis Howard and his stepfather, Houston Howard.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016, 2:00 pm, at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Raynarldo Henderson and Reverend Michael Wade officiating.
Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
