James Lafon "Man" Cunningham, 56, of Paducah, died October 9, 2008, at Lourdes Hospital after a long illness.

He was a cook at Western Baptist Hospital until his retirement. Cunningham was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Vincent A. Cunningham and the late Leslie Mae Jones Cunningham; four brothers and a sister.

Cunningham is survived by 6 sons, Dionecio "Sean" Woolen of Marietta, GA, Tiant Young of Shahran, Saudia Arabia, Malik-El Shabazz of Paducah, Deandre Cunningham of Woodbridge, VA, Julius "Bubba" Cunningham of Dumfries, VA, Antonio Cunning-ham of Mayfield; a daughter, April Williams of Paducah; 2 brothers, Willie L. Jones and Vincent Cunningham, both of Paducah; a sister Pearl Jones of Paducah; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services are schedule for 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Moore officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at the funeral
