Obituary
James Alvin Carruthers 58, Paducah, died 9:31 A.M., Monday, July 13, 2009 at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Carruthers was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fendol Carruthers, Sr. And Lennie Bowden Carruthers, one son, James Carruthers, Jr. two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by five sons, Samuel Carruthers, Christopher Carruthers, Jameson Frazier Derrick Hensley, all of Paducah, KY, and Antoine Frazier, Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Christine Carruthers, Pittsburgh, PA; three brothers, Fendol Carruthers Jr., Charles Carruthers, both of Paducah, KY, and William Carruthers, Louisville, KY; two sisters, Louise Hubbard and Carolyn Carruthers, both of Paducah, KY. 18 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 20, 2009, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, 1229 Madison Street, Paducah, KY, with Reverend Alfred Anderson Officiating, burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour on Monday, July 20, 2009, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home
