James "Candy Man" Hill, Sr. passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, 3:37 p.m., at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.

He was a member of New Greater Love Church where he served as both deacon and superintendent of Christian Education. He was retired as a heavy equipment operator with Roger's Group of Henderson, KY.

James is survived by four sons , Darrell Hill of Italy, James Hill, Jr. and David Hill, both of Paducah and Ricky Hill of Manassa, VA; six daughters , Andrea Coffie, Wendy Hill, Kimberly Hill, Michelle Hill, and Rochelle Shelby, all of Paducah, and Jocelyn Byas of West Paducah; eighteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two brothers , Tibzell Hill, Jr. and Harold Hill, both of Paducah; two sisters , Rosanell Caldwell and Earnestine Davis, both of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Atkins Hill, his parents, Tibzell Hill, Sr. and Ruby Lee Crossland Hill, and two grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICES ON FRIDAY AUGUST 2, 2019, 12 NOON, HAVE BEEN CHANGED FROM NEW GREATER LOVE CHURCH TO GREATER LINCOLN HEIGHTS MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1324 BLOOMFIELD AVENUE, PADUCAH, KY .  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may also call at GREATER LINCOLN HEIGHTS MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
