On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, our Heavenly Father dispatched His death angel to bring one of his children, IRENE ANNETTE PARKER AGNEW , back to her Heavenly Home. Irene answered her Heavenly Father's call at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 3 days. As she looked back over her life, she rejoiced over her birth on December 10, 1952, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, as the lovely daughter of Joe Thomas Parker and Minnie Lee Dade Parker.
Irene was a longtime and faithful member of the Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries where she served with great pride and dignity as the administrative assistant and as a choir member. She attended West Kentucky Community Technical College and earned an associate's degree in Business Administration. Irene wasted no time in making good use of the business skills and expertise she acquired in college. Most recently she was employed as a receptionist with Nissan of Paducah.
Irene leaves many loved ones and friends to mourn her passing; One Son; Antwoine (Nika) Agnew; One Step-Daughter; Sharla (Minister Jewel) Hill Wilson both of Paducah; Six Grandchildren; Samantha Freeman, Alayjah Marshall and Simya Patrick all of Paducah, KY; Shamon Agnew of Frankfort, KY , Corey Agnew and Ashton Agnew both of Paducah; Two Brothers; Julian (Ruth) Parker of Decatur, GA and Phillip (Annette) Parker of Stone Mountain, GA; Four Sisters, Gwendolyn Parker of Hopkinsville, KY, Patricia (Bruce) Kilpatrick and Carolyn (Troy Byas) Parker both of Paducah, KY and Beverly Parker of Stone Mountain, GA; Adoped Mother ; Mother Ann McPherson of Paducah, KY; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends Including Her Special Friends, Sharon Spann, LaQuita Kelly, Sandra Kelly, Mary Pettus-Rowland, Beverly Crockett, Employees at Nissan of Paducah, and Baptist Health Hospital ER Department and the Pettus Rowland Funeral Home Staff.
Awaiting at Heaven's Gates for her arrival were Her Parents , Joe Thomas Parker and Minnie Lee Dade Parker, Her Two Brothers , Herman E. Fox and Bobby Joe Parker, SR. and Her Sister , Betty Jean Parker.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 22, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries with Reverend Dr. Thaddyues W. Thompson, Sr., and her brother Julian Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
All in attendance are required to wear a mask.
