Obituary

Inette Christine Johnson, age 67, of Paducah, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at her residence. She entered into earthly life on January 2, 1954, the beloved daughter of the late George and Mary Manuel Mason.

Inette was a member of Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah where she sang in the choir.

Inette was formerly employed at Pilgrim's Pride for fourteen years, and when she wasn't working, she loved to go fishing every weekend she could. Although fishing was her passion, she also loved watching basketball, especially her favorite team the Los Angeles Lakers. She was an absolute dedicated fan of her number one player, LeBron James. Another one of her favorite pastimes was listening to gospel artist Shirley Caesar.

Inette leaves to cherish her memory her spouse of 41 years, Louis Johnson of Paducah; one son , Caryon (Neshawn Nay) Johnson of Paducah; four grandchildren , Omarion Johnson, Caryon Johnson, Jr., Maliyah Blakemore, and Amari Horne; one great-grandson , Ja'Carrion Johnson; one sister , Classie Jackson of Paducah; one brother , Reverend Franklin (Arner) Elmore of Chicago, IL, two sisters-in-law , Johnnie May (H.D.) Rowe of Charleston, MO and Lerline (William) Parham of Sparta, IL; one brother-in-law , James Johnson of Paducah; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends .

Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Mary Manuel Mason; seven brothers, George Elmore, Leroy Elmore, Sam Mason, Danny Mason, Bobby Mason, Roland Simon, and Alfred Mason; four sisters, Pearline Elmore, Dorothy Mason, Mozella Irons, and Linda Lou Mason; one brother-in-law, Robert Jackson; and one sister-in-law, Debbie Johnson.

Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Saturday, November 20,2021, 12:00 noon at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 523 N. 12th Street in Paducah with Pastor Anthony Walton officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.

All attendees are required to wear a mask.
