Obituary
Horace Rowlett, Jr., 82 of Paducah, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009, 5:00 pm at Lourdes Hospital.
Mr. Rowlett was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Ray Black & Son Construction Co. for 15 years. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, and Carpenter work. Mr. Rowlett was a member of Mt Olive Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee and Maintenance personnel.
Mr. Rowlett was preceded in death by his parents Alfonzo Rowlett and Pearl Hester, One Sister and One Brother.
Mr. Rowlett is survived by Longtime Companion Karen Sloan, of Paducah, KY; One Son, Clarence Holt of Brooklyn, NY; One Sister, Roberta Thomas, of Cleveland, OH; One Brother, Robert Lee (Christine) Rowlett, of Cleveland, OH; A Special Cousin, Gladys Cousin, of Paducah, KY and Junior Cousin, of Chicago, IL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, 1038 Burnett Street, Paducah, with Pastor Michael Chase officiating. Interment will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery, Paducah.
The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
